African Pride in April

African Pride in April

Another month in lockdown and we’re all doing whatever we can to get through. Being inside more means we have time to give our hair the TLC it has been screaming for and there’s no better TLC than a takeover box! The April box is packed full with 5 Moisture Miracle products by the classic brand, African Pride. No matter where in the diaspora you’re from, we all have the right to take pride in Africa’s natural richness and these products are a great reminder of that.

Every African Pride product is made with a signature blend of rich ingredients of African origin to help you nurture your hair and create any style in the healthiest, most nourishing way possible. With that being said, let’s get into these products and find out how they’ll have you feeling proud of your curls and coils in quarantine:

Honey and Coconut Oil Shampoo:

This shampoo removes dirt and buildup from your hair without stripping your hair of its natural oils. Made with a blend of Honey & Coconut Oil to deeply penetrate and hydrate natural coils and curls, this shampoo will leave your hair feeling shiny, soft and nourished. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again- start wash day in sections, sis! Apply a generous amount to your wet sections, then massage until it lathers. Rinse thoroughly and repeat until your hair and scalp is clean.

Honey, Chocolate and Coconut Oil Conditioner:

You read that right- CHOCOLATE! This product smells as good as it sounds. After the first use, you’ll feel the conditioning benefits of Honey and Coconut Oil, with the restorative benefits of Chocolate (Cacao) to transform dry coils and curls leaving them hydrated and nourished. Apply this conditioner generously to your wet sections. Then massage it into your hair from roots to ends and detangle. Leave on for 10-15 minutes and then rinse thoroughly.

Coconut Milk and Honey Leave-in Conditioner:

Made with hydrating Coconut Milk & African Honey, this lightweight leave-in conditioner replenishes moisture, adds shine and softens. It’s the perfect product to begin the styling process with or to refresh and moisturise your day 3-5 curls and coils as it can be used on wet or dry hair.  Spray this product as much as you feel is needed, just make sure that you shake the bottle well before using it!

Coconut Oil & Baobab Oil Leave-In Cream:

The Coconut Oil & Baobab Oil in this leave-in cream provide your hair with moisture that lasts whilst also preventing breakage. This cream can be used as a daily moisturiser or can be used when layering products during the styling process. If your hair prefers heavier products, you’ll love this.

Shea Butter & Flaxseed Oil Curling Cream:

Looking for a product that provides definition as well as long lasting moisture? Well sis, we found it for you. This versatile curling cream is created with a blend of Shea Butter and Flax Seed Oil which leaves coily and curly styles feeling and looking smooth and bouncy with a soft hold. This product works best on dry or damp hair and is perfect for Twist- outs, braid- outs, finger coils, rod sets and wash and gos.

We know sis, we really came through for you this month! We can’t wait to see how you use these African Pride products, so make sure you tag @treasuretress and @myafricanpride in your styling and unboxing posts!

Stay safe and stay inside,
